Boots on the Meridian 5K Run/Walk
Join us on Saturday, June 6, 2026, for a 5K Run/Walk in Cozad, NE! Registration includes post-race food and refreshments. Plus, register by May 21 to receive a free t-shirt!
Thank you for your consideration in participating in the Cattlemen’s Ball 5K run/walk! This year, the 5k run will start at the Cozad Community Center, running the streets of Cozad, including Meridian Street, and under the 100th Meridian sign. Runners and walkers are welcome! You are welcome to bring strollers, wagons and wheelchairs, but please remember to be courteous by staying to the right and letting others safely pass. While waiting for awards, join us for post-race recovery food and drinks. A ticket to the Cattlemen’s Ball is not necessary to participate in this event.
Participants who register by May 21st are guaranteed a t-shirt on race day, those who register after will have a shirt made available for local pick up. Race day registration is accepted! Packet pickup will be 6:30 am – 7:30 am Saturday, June 6th at the Cozad Community Center. There is no maximum number of participants, so bring all your family and friends!

Race Information
Cost: $30/ 5K participant | $20/ 1 mile participant
Includes: Post-race snacks and refreshments, plus a t-shirt if registered by May 21.
The race will be timed as a whole, so if you would like to keep track of your specific time please bring your own timer. Bib places will be posted but not times.

- Cattlemen’s Ball event tickets are NOT REQUIRED to participate in the Boots on the Meridian event
