The 2026 Cattlemen’s Ball is taking place in a pasture North of Cozad owned by Howdy and Linda Benjamin. Alongside the Levi and Bobbie Jo Messersmith family, they invite you to join the party in the pasture. This stunning location offers sweeping views that highlight the natural beauty in the heart of cattle country.

To get to the Ball:

77120 Rd 421 Cozad, Nebraska 69130

From Interstate in Cozad:

1. Head North into Cozad off I-80 Exit 222
2. Go over the viaduct
3. At the grocery store E 8th st go right
4. Turn left on NEWELL ST which turns into RD 421
5. Go a few flat miles and a couple hills and you won’t miss it on the right

When you arrive

To get into the ball, enter the pasture at the north entrance and parking will be immediately on your left. Please park in the lots assigned to your ticket group. Trial Boss, is first, followed by Top Hand ticket holders.

Trail Boss

Gates open at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, the ticket tent is directly across from the parking lot. Gates open again at 8:30 A.M. Saturday morning.

Top Hand

Gates open at 12:30 p.m.

Camping & Volunteers

If you are a volunteer, go to the far east gate where all the volunteer signage is posted and visit the red Paulsen RV to get your t-shirts and assignments for the day.

If you are camping, to pay for your spot, please visit the volunteer camper and they will give you directions to your spot. All camping will be at the southeast corner of the ball site.

Demonstrations

If you would like to watch the rope & drag branding or the draft horse haying demonstration, they will take place just outside the east fence, beginning immediately following opening ceremonies. There will be bleachers set up for ticket holders just inside the fence. Those who don’t have a ticket, can watch the demonstrations from the outside of the fence.
